He transferred to Milwaukee, WI where he was Construction Project Manager for the upgrade of the Jones Island Wastewater Treatment Plant. At CH2M Hugh served as a Resident Engineer, and Project Manager. He left Metcalf & Eddy to attend graduate school and joined CH2M Hill in Seattle, WA. Upon his discharge from active duty he joined Metcalf & Eddy as an Inspector and Project Engineer. Hugh began his engineering career as a Combat Engineer Officer in the Corps of Engineers, US Army at Fort Campbell, KY, and the Republic of Viet Nam in 1964 to 1966. and has over 50 years of engineering experience.
